here. On Friday 28 April our application for incorporation was filed with the Companies Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations. Once processed the "uwstudent.org Media Group" will become "The uwstudent.org Media Corporation." All UW students will be members of this not-for-profit corporation.
The objects of the organisation include to deliver news and information to you and the UW community; and to train students in media and technology.
If you are interested in journalism, the internet, or the potential of our endeavour, we welcome your involvement. Even if you are just curious, we invite you to contact us and ask questions.
If the 12 weeks it reportedly takes to process is accurate your (you students') new media corporation will come into existence on the first day of summer.

Any member of the corporation will be eligible to sit on the Board of Directors once we have established our bylaws.
