"It's exactly what we do now," Ted Wilson, vice-president of student operations, said Friday. "We're putting together the best case we can on behalf of the students." Tickets would be $10 one way and $19 return, he said.
Greyhound Canada is opposing that application.
But even if Student Transportation of Canada wins, Greyhound Canada will offer a bus service that mirrors the Fed Bus schedule, starting Sept. 5, Greyhound spokesperson Lew Aldrich said. Greyhound already holds the licence to do that, he added. The cost will be $12.90 one way and $25.80 return, Aldrich said.
Aldrich said Greyhound will not provide the Waterloo-to-Hamilton run because it isn't licensed to do that.
